Treatment of diabetes mainly consists of a drug regimen and requires patients to manage medications by themselves at home for extended periods of time. As such, in order to avoid treatment discontinuation, it is important to understand several factors such as the age of the patient, living environment and social background to better explore therapies suitable for individual patients. Therefore, hospital pharmacists must provide not only guidance on medications/injection techniques, but also appropriate medication assistance according to the patients’ level of understanding and their medical treatment.
Therefore, my study is a pharmacotherapy management protocol search intended to improve medication adherence and treatment effects for patients with diabetes.
